Neighbors Next Door Conversation Starter

Objective:

Encourage neighbors to get to know each other better, share community stories, and build a stronger sense of community.

Gameplay:

1. Shuffle the deck and place it face down in the center of the table.
2. Each player (neighbors) should have a comfortable place to sit and engage in conversation.

Rules:

1. Starting the Game: The first player draws a card from the deck and reads the prompt aloud.
2. Answering the Prompt: Both neighbors take turns answering the prompt, sharing their thoughts, experiences, or stories.
3. Discussion: After both have answered, they can discuss further, ask follow-up questions, or share related stories.
4. Next Turn: The next player draws a card from the deck and repeats the process.
5. Special Cards:
   • Wild Cards: 10 special cards are mixed into the deck. These cards include fun activities such as “Organize a block party together” or “Share a favorite recipe.”
   • Challenge Cards: 10 special cards with challenges such as “Share something you’ve never told a neighbor” or “Plan a community project together.”
6. Winning the Game: The game can continue until all cards have been drawn or for a set time limit (e.g., one hour). The goal is to enjoy the process of sharing and learning more about each other.
7. End of the Game: After all the cards have been played or the time limit has been reached, players can review their favorite moments or highlights from the game. They can also plan to revisit certain topics or activities in the future.
